It's inbelievable the impact on music and life J. Dilla had on hip hop and the world. At #DillaDay you saw all [and i do mean all] walks of life, celebrating his life, the lide of hip hop and suppoerting lupus.

The concert showcased local hip hop talent and a livinf legend by the name of PETE ROCK. Also blessing us was the late great's mother, the beautiful MA DUKES OR MS. YANCEY. She shared beautiful words of wisdom and encouragement and sentiment to hip hop. I will say my favorite part was when she graced the stage with a salutation of "WHADDUP DOE?" #DETROITLOVE

I was in pure bliss when i listened to all the pure talent from Houston. At the moment i wondered... "where have these people been all this time i have been in Houston. I mean a TRUE representation of the art form, featuring funk, jazz and soul. All blearing rhythematic to my heartbeat making my body vibrate. a true hip hop heads element at its greatest.

It was a night i will 1-NEVER FORGET & 2-ENCOURAGE ME TO SEARCH MORE FOR THESE TYPE OF HIP HOP EVENTS.
